​I would encourage people to get out of their comfort zone and put themselves out on social media, do videos, reels, stories, and post away. Stay connected to your customers and keep stock, it sells. I need to do more social posting of our products and how to use them myself actually!!

What is your ultimate goal in SeneGence and what is your biggest motivator? 

It’s a challenge to be a good businessperson, I’m always learning and that’s what motives me. I like being connected to my customers and I really helping them feel good in their skin!

Ultimate goal - to continue to work my business consistently and persistently, and see what the future holds. 
Biggest motivator - Feedback from my customers. When they tell me how much they love their products, or when they want to learn about new products. All of these things give me the drive to keep going, even when it feels like business and interaction is slow.

Where do you live, and how long have you been a distributor?

I live in Las Vegas and am celebrating the start of my ninth year of being in business this month!

Why did you initially sign up?

When I first signed up, I was an adjunct college instructor working various gigs and conventions around Las Vegas to make money during the summer months when I wasn't teaching.  While working a jewelry booth at one of these events, I met the two other girls I'd be working with and we started slinging and setting up giant Rubbermaid tubs of jewelry.  The air wasn't on, and my face had melted off in five minutes, but the only thing I saw them do all day was apply gloss!  I was intrigued!  After watching this for two days, I wanted to sign up so that I too could apply makeup once a day while working.  I didn't have an office or time to touch up on campus, and this was my solution!  But then other women starting asking me what I was using and where they could get it!  For the first two days my response was, 'Uh....me?  I think?'  And that's how my business was born!

What are 3 Tips that you would encourage others to do?

  1. Focus on relationships first, retail second.  Build relationships with your customers.  I have always valued people over profit...when you're just looking at the bottom line, it shows.  If you're good at getting to know your customers,  and you work to build your relationships, the longer you're in business, the more customers and referrals you'll have.  It's that simple.

  2. Fill your wagon at your own pace.  You're not going to be successful overnight when you start.  Start small,  and build stock at your own pace.  It took me years to get to where I am now with my fully-stocked grab-and-go beauty bar I have at home.  I started with one little bitty zip pouch of a few lip colors, then slowly added more as I sold. 

  3. Be proactive and thoughtful.  Don't wait for customers to come to you.  Don't be afraid to ask for the sale.  Don't be afraid to share at work.  Don't be afraid to check in with customers you haven't talked to in awhile.  Share information about products, new releases, specials from SeneGence.

What is your ultimate goal in SeneGence and what is your biggest motivator? 

My sweet niece, Eyla, is my motivation for everything, including my business.  She was born three months early and weighed one pound, nine ounces.  I dropped everything in 2017 when she was born, packed my stock and some stuff and spent a few months with her and my sister in the NICU.  My business not only helped keep me grounded during a scary time,  but also took care of us.  I would walk  orders from  the hospital to the mailing place down the road every day and did live videos from the little room where we were staying.  Muffinhead will be six years old next month, and she continues to be my inspiration for everything.  My ultimate goal for my SeneGence business would be to set up a trust fund for her that provides for her special needs for the rest of her life.

To make it to the top!

What is the Biggest thing that motivates you?

My husbands support and encouragement! The support from Lisa and the team keeps me going!

I live in a small town in New Zealand called Matamata (aka Hobbiton).

Why did you initially sign up?

I love SeneGence and knew others would too. It was important to me that I was one of the founding distributors in New Zealand.

We currently have no way of measuring this to be sure but I do know that a world without CCTM, mascara, primer, LipSense and NeoTight would be a grim place! ​

What are 3 Tips that you would encourage others to do?

  1. Just start. Lisa is right when she says if you wait till you know everything you will never start. 

  2. Be yourself! It is so much easier to be genuine, your pure self is worth so much more than a replica of someone else. 

  3. GO live on Social Media - I can promise you it's worth it if you are consistent.

What is your ultimate goal in SeneGence?

To keep being authentic and enjoy my little business for what it can bring to me while I am helping women to feel better about themselves.

What is the Biggest thing that motivates you?

I am astounded at the lack of confidence many women experience after their families have grown - it is delightful to help women rediscover themselves and provide them with a safe space to re-learn about make up and how to use it to it's best advantage. It is an absolute honour to serve my customers.

Make Ultimate Court and win a trip this year!

Other successful SeneSisters and sharing ideas with others. Fun trips to trainings where I learn and network with others. I also have a passion for sharing knowledge about skincare and makeup with mature ladies.

I live about 30 minutes west of Chicago. I have been a distributor since September 2016.

  1. I would say sharing products with everyone is key. Some of the people I thought would never be interested love the products.

  2. Do live videos or demos (small parties or 1-on-1's). Showing people how to use the products and helping them apply is key. 

  3. Just be yourself. Watch and gain knowledge from experienced teammates, but carve your own path unique to yourself.

What is your ultimate goal in SeneGence?

I want to continue to grow my business, help women find products that truly work for them, and supplement my family's income.

Probably helping my family through my work.

The thing that motivates me is that I never give up. I do get down sometimes but I just say "Tomorrow I'll start fresh!".

I live in Pratt, KS. It's a small town right in the middle of Kansas. I have been a SeneGence Distributor for 4 years. â€‹

Why did you initially sign up?

I originally signed up because I was so impressed with the product. I knew that there was a demand for it and that I could easily sell it to my girlfriends, sorority sisters, and extended family. â€‹

  1. Widen your circle of friends. Get to know more women. Join clubs and organizations where you will meet women.

  2. Give gifts of SeneGence. Any gift giving opportunity, make sure you are shopping from YOU. Give a girlfriend a LipSense for her birthday. Give your teenage son a Lip Balm in his Christmas stocking. 

  3. Be active on social media. Let your friends and family know that you have these products available. Be consistent with your posts so that they know you love and use this line. ​

What is your ultimate goal in SeneGence?

My ultimate goal is to share the products with as many people as I can! To fulfill this goal, I opened a retail store called Hello Beauty Bar & Boutique. My store has a beauty bar where customers can try on and purchase all of the SeneGence skincare and cosmetics. ​

What is the Biggest thing that motivates you?

The thing that motivates me is my customers! I absolutely LOVE helping them find just the right outfit, the best skincare and makeup, and making them look and feel beautiful!

Where do you live, and how long have you been a distributor?

I live in Canada (Pickering, Ontario), and I have been a distributor for 5+ years.


Why did you initially sign up?

I joined for the sisterhood. I retired early at 57, and missed the “people interaction”  I got into “Direct Sales” quite by accident; it was in the health and wellness industry.  I was there for 7 years.  I didn’t make money because you had to recruit to make money, and I wasn’t good at recruiting, but being a product of the product, I did lose the weight I had gained during my initial retirement years, and I made so many wonderful people who are now friends for life.  It was not the money for me.  

Then I saw a friend demonstrating how LipSense didn’t budge or smudge, and I was intrigued.  At that time, I knew what I wanted, and what I didn’t want, and SeneGence had everything I wanted. I started out with 3 colours and a Climate Control sample.  I was immediately hooked, and signed up right away, and loved the Fast Start, which got me going with our skincare. I especially loved that you could make money without recruiting, but thanks to the amazing training, I learned how to recruit, and now have a team.  My National Emeritus Rank is Lady.

1.    My “Core 4” - 3-1 cleanser, daytime moisturizer, evening moisturizer, eye cream.
2.    Power Couple - Climate Control and SeneSerum-C

Interestingly enough, LipSense is not in my top 5.  I am 72, so I attract people that are looking for skincare, and I encourage people to purchase bundles.

What are 3 Tips that you would encourage others to do?

1.    My #1 asset has been my story, which comes down to being a product of the product.  Make sure you have a “Before and After” picture.  With this, comes my “passion”. 
2.    Be consistent.  I go live 5 out of 7 days, and post every day.
3.    Full customer service checkout.  I make sure my customers understand how to use the products.  And this checkout quite often upsells them to other products.  I include a little gift in every order, and do in-person delivery for those that are local.  My customers love the extra touch.  

What is your ultimate goal in SeneGence?

My ultimate goal is Countess.


What is the Biggest thing that motivates you?

My #1 thing that motivates me is my passion, and the desire for others to have what I have.  I enjoy collaborating with others.  One example is our Glam Parties that I do with a good friend, who is a fashion stylist.  I love to pamper and help women feel beautiful and confident about themselves.

Why did you decide to become a distributor?: "I was a hostess for Heather (her first one, I think!), and I saw that she sold over $400 worth of LipSense to 5 people, and she told me she made about $200. I decided from that to become a distributor for the discount and to maybe do 1 party per month, just for a little extra money."

 

What is the best tip you could give to new distributors?: "Try not to be too overwhelmed, spend some time studying your back office because there is SO much helpful information there, and share about the products and opportunity with everybody. Wear your stripes, and get out of your comfort zone. If I can do this, anybody can!"
